I learned everything from funnels, Facebook ads to building an email list. With this new skillset my blog began to quickly grow.
Within a year, I had over 25K followers and began to get partnerships with various companies, even clothing companies at Nordstroms, for blogging about their products.
What I did not anticipate was how much blogging is a full time job – you have to constantly put out new material and content for your readers.
Because of my background and formal training in design, creating the content was easy for me.
That said, it consumed my time.
Yes, i was finding success but I would spend hours every day creating new blog posts, social media posts, youtube videos and ebooks. I found myself spending way too much time working on my blog and way too much time away from my family. This was the exact opposite of what I wanted when I decided to stay home with my son and leave the design industry.
So after having Amy Porterfield look me in the face and tell me… Sarah it should not be taking you this long to be creating your content...I walked away knowing I had to figure out how to do JUST that. The big question was how?
